The adjectives mark the gender and number of the noun morphologically. As noted above, the nouns are marked only for number and not for gender. There are three distinct gender markers for the four gender number classes, viz., masculine singular, feminine singular, masculine plural and feminine plural. The markers for these four classes respectively are -o, -i, -e and -i. Since there are not separate suffixes for singular and plural, it may be said, that the feminine nouns do not make number distinction as it is found in the masculine nouns.
