Adjectives are a class of words which are attributes to nouns and are not inflected for gender and number.

Adjectives may be broadly classified into two types,
 
                        (i) simple (ii) derived
 
5.1.1.

 
 Simple Adjectives are all monomorphemic words which function as attributes to nouns.
 
5.1.1.2.
 
Descriptive Adjectives:
 
u:ņa o:la  ‘small boy’
u:ņa po:da  ‘small girl’
nehĺillu  ‘good house’
nehĺ ilka  ‘good houses’
ka:·ini bilei  ‘black cat’
ka:ini ga:yi  ‘black cow’
ka:mbu ka:ya  ‘ripe fruit’

Demonstrative Adjectives
The demonstrative adjectives express the relative distance of the nouns from the speaker as being proximate, intermediate or remote.
