Derived Adjectives
5.2.1.
All derived adjectives consisting of a single root but more than one morpheme belong to this class. The following sub-classes may be set up.
5.2.1.1
Derived from nouns.
5.2.1.1.1
Nouns used in the genitive case function as adjectives.

‘shifting agriculture
(lit. work of the hill)’

The oblique-genitive stems of personal pronouns are used adjectively.
na:ka

‘my eyes’

Derived from verbs
5.2.2.1.
Verbal stems with the adjectival suffix -i are used adjectivally.

‘ploughing bull’
va:yi a:ku
‘drying leaf’

Verbal stems with tense-mood suffixes become adjectives by the addition of -i.

Derived from adjectives
5.2.3.1.
Syntactically free adjectives are involved in morphologically derived pronominals by the addition of the person-number-gender suffix.
kajja ‘big, great’
[ na:nu ] kajjateni ’
I [ am ] great person
[ ma:ro ] kajjatayi
‘we [ are ] great persons (incl.)
[ ma:mbu ] kajjatomi
‘we [ are ] great persons (excl.)
[ ni:nu ] kajjati
‘you [ are ] great person
[ mi:ru ] kajjateri
‘you [ are ] great persons’
[ evasi ] kajjasi
‘He [ is ] great person’
[ evari ] kajjari
‘They [ are ] great persons’

Cardinal Adjectives :
The cardinal numerals ro

i ‘one’ , riņ
i ‘two’ have bound forms which occur with nouns.
ro ga:yi
‘one cow’
ri ga:yi
‘two cows’
When the cardinal adjective is used he used the use of the plural suffix is optional.

The bound forms ri-ņ ti:ni, sa:ri, pa:so also occur with the word ko

e ‘twenty’ to form the higher numerals from forty to hundred.
