With Verbs :

This emphatic particle occurs only with the verb of a preceding clause in a compound sentence. For example :

m	roţi	khadi	i		‘I	have	eaten	the	bread	and

kIse	na	dItti	ní	‘did	not	give	to	any	body’
6	7	8	9		9	8			6-7

There is another emphatic particle {-€} which has the same function as the above {e~i} but this is suffixed only with the adverbs of location formed out of the pronominal bases and with this suffix the preceding consonant gets geminated. Examples are :

It-€®Itt€	‘here itself’
Ut-€®Utt€	‘there itself’
kIt-€®kItt€	‘where itself’
jIt-€®jItt€	‘where itself’

{wi} ‘also’ is inclusive of the member of the set. This particle occurs after the nominal and nominal phrase ; adjective and verbs. Examples are :

After the nominals and nominal phrases :

Us	n€	mewo	wi	khado	‘He	(ag.)	ate	fruit	also’
