sa ya:ki ‘she is coming’
te bya : len ‘they are going’

2.2.1.2. Transitive Verb:

The transitive verb takes an object. As mentioned above the subject of a transitive is declined for the nominative case. There are two nominative case suffixes whose occurrence is conditioned by the tense of the transitive verb. -ya occurs when the verb is in the past and -sa occurs when the verb is in the non-past. The transitive verb is formed by adding -a in the verb in the non-past tense and there is no difference in the past tense.

pho phitiya:l ‘it breakes’

sosa pho phita:la:l ‘he breakes it ’

pho hia:l ‘it trears’

sasa pho china:ya:l ‘she tears it’

There is, however, one verb ba´dis ‘to run’ which does not take any object and therefore must be an intransitive verb. But, it behaves like a transitive verb in its subject declined for the nominative suffix.
miya badet ‘I ran’
   1        2  1  2
baya dadet ‘we ran’
