There
are two demonstrative pronouns, viz., proximate and remote. The proximate
pronoun refers to a being or thing nearer the speaker and the remote
pronoun to a being or thing further away from the speaker. The demonstrative
pronouns are divided into singular and plural and the singular in
turn is divided into masculine and feminine.
