When a verb is present in the sentences the negative is formed by adding ‘ma’ to the main verb of the sentence. In such cases, the tense marker follows the negative.
i ka nym h myu mi latumane that woman det. man acc. catch-neg-p.t.
‘that woman did not catch the man’  
   
m imimane he sleep-neg.-p.t.
‘he did not sleep’  
   
m bimane  
‘he did not give’ he give-neg. -p.t.
   
Interjection:Interjections are purely emotic words which have no referential content. It is occasionally used to initiate an utternace. The interjections are listed below:

kje’ is used to draw the attention of the hearer. This usually occurs with suggestive constructions.
kje, alyi mi mensa. int. pig acc. kill-sug.
‘come on, let us  kill the pig’  
   
kje   tansa.‘ int. beer drink-sug.
‘come on, let us drink beer’  
   
kje jiro ho insa. int. Ziro loc. go-sug.
‘come on let us go to Ziro’  
’ is used by the speaker to express his surprise.

‘i’ is used by the hearer to respond to the speaker when engaged in conversation.

’ is used to express disappointment when he is unsuccessful in his endeavor and when something is lost.

’ is used by the speaker to get response from the hearer.

Adverb There are sentential adverbs and non-sentential adverbs that are contrasted at the morphological level. The sentential adverb which qualifies the sentential proposition is marked by ‘da’ whereas the non-sentential adverbs are marked by ‘pa’. The adverb markers are added to quality verbs (verbs that describes the quality of a person or thing like - aya ‘nice’) to form adverbs.
