3.8.4. Dative Case
The Dative case has two suffixes. They are -kku and -kke.
      {-kku}
       -kku, -kke
3.8.4.1. -kku occurs with pronouns, proper nouns and with animate nouns.
      na-n-kku (5.19) > nanukku ‘I’ (Dat.)
      ni-n-kku (5.19) > ninukku ‘you’ (Sg.) (Dat.)
      ni-m-kku (5.19) > nimukku ‘you’ (Pl.) (Dat.)
      avar-kku (5.19) > avarukku ‘they’ (Dat.)
      ta-n-kku (5.19) > tanukku ‘oneself’ (Dat.)
      avan-kku (5.22) > aväkku ‘he’ (Dat.)
      ava-kku (5.23) > avakku ‘she’ (Dat.)
      ra:man-kku (5.22) > ra:mäkku ‘Raman’ (Dat.)
      dana-kku (5.11) > dana:kku ‘Cattle’ (Dat.)
3.8.4.2. -kke occurs elsewhere
      gia-kke (5.11) > gia:kke ‘plant’ (Dat.)
      ka:u-kke > ka:ukke ‘forest (Dat.)
      dimba-kke (5.11) > dimba:kke ‘Dimbam’ (Dat.)
      paulu-kke > paulukke ‘door’ (Dat.)
      paa-kke (5.11) > paa:kke ‘picutre’ (Dat.)
      pa:la-kke (5.11) > pa:la:kke ‘bridge’ (Dat.)
      i)  avarukku ka:u ba:a ada.
          ‘He has lots of lands’
      ii)  nanukku ka:ppi ve:u
          ‘I want coffee’
      iii)  ade avä ä:rukku koukkä?
          ‘He is giving that to whom?
      iv)  eppu avä ka:ukke po:gä?
          ‘When he will go to the forest?
