cum-Deputy Director, Central Institute of Indian Languages
for guiding and supervising my work from choice of topic
to submission of the dissertation.
I am immensely grateful to the Central Institute of
Indian Languages for the excellent ethos it provided
me with during my research.
I am grateful to Dr. D. P. Pattanayak, former Director,
Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore for according
permission to conduct this research.

me by late Dr. Jayavant S. Kulli, with whom I had a
