Both in Urali and in Tamil, the loss of final // in the words like ava, iva etc., is noticed. The loss of final nasal /n/ in the words like avan, ivan is experienced in the colloquial Tamil resulting in nasalisation. But in the case of Urali, though the loss of final nasal /n/ is noticed, instead of nasalisation, the final vowel gets centralised. |
