There is an irregularity with the rule ų ------» u /c - ||. Some words ending in /m, n, l, , r, R, y / are not always added with ‘u’, a phonic vowel. For example, the words such as
mua:am ‘fool’
ma:n ‘deer’
va:l ‘tail’
va: ‘saw’
summa:r ‘approximately’
e:ma:R ‘deceive’
poy ‘lie’
kulasta:r ‘people from the same clan’
Ra:ttil ‘balance’
takar ‘tin’
and some other words ending in these consonants when occur in isolation always end in consonant only.
