We now consider the verbs
whose structure is complex i.e. verbs not only with roots and
tense marker but also with auxiliaries such as aspect and
modal occuring wiith roots and tense marker. Consider the
structure of the complex verbs in which durative aspect is
present. The formal structure of the complex verbs is ;

{ yot }
The forms duk and yot
are in complementary distribution whenever the tense is
present. In Purki, present tense is unmarked. duk
occurs after Pr.Pl. if the subject noun phrase is either
second peerson or third person. The negative marker is
inserted in between Pr. Pl. and duk i.e. the negative form min
precedes duk but follows Pr.Pl.
