Verbs are a class of words inflected for the categories of tense, aspect and mood. The nucleus of a verb form is the verb stem.
 
6.0.1.



 
Verb stems are simple, complex or compound. A simple stem is a single root; a complex stem has one root followed by one or ,more derivational morphemes; a compound stem has more than one root and may include one or more derivational or inflectional suffixes - the whole sequence constituting a single nucleus of the verb.
 
 6.1 Simple stems

Simple stems are all monosyllabic monomorphemic with the following canonical forms.
 
               a) (c) :
                    e ‘arrive at a place’ 
                    ha: ‘die’
               b) (c) : c
                   man         ‘to be’ 
                   hal           ‘go’
                   tu: h        ‘bear (give birth to)’
