The allomorphic variations are discussed below.

ichi
‘one’ freely varies with echi. ichi has four allomorphs. ichi is a free form wich is used when no classifier is added. The other three allomorphs are bound forms. i- ~ e- occurs only with a classifier and precedes the classifier. chi is used to form, the numeral ‘seven’ and chir-, to form the numeral ‘nine’. ichi and i- are more common than echi and e- respectively.

mek ichi ‘one eye’
arnan i-ho ‘one finger ring’
throk-chi ‘seven (6+1)’
chir-kep ‘nine (1 less 10)’

hini
‘two’ has three allomorphs. hini is a free form and it occurs without a classifier or with the classifier ba. The other two are bound forms. -ni occurs with other classifiers and ner- is used to form the numeral ‘eight’.

nu hini ‘two horns’
monit ba hini ‘two men’
voti pum-ni

‘two eggs’
