A4 Class :
 

All the ordinal numbers fall in this class. A few examples are in masculine singular form :

A5 Class:
 

All the quantitative and degree adjectives which also modify the qualitative adjectives fall in this class.
 

Exampels :

etc.


A6 Class :

 

All the qualitative adjectives fall in this class. A few adjectives falling in this class are given below in the direct masculine singular form :

etc.

There are some suffixes which are added to various stem classes to form adjectives. These are described below:
 

{-i} added to the noun stem to form the adjective relating to the noun. Examples are :
 

punc  ‘poonch’  punc-i  ‘relating to poonch’

smUnd

‘sea’  sm Undr-i  ‘relating to sea’

ĺndstan 

‘India’ 

ĺndstani  ‘Indian, relating to 
India’


{-ay} added to the abstract noun to form the adjective stem which can further take gender-number suffixes and the forms are given in masculine singular. Examples :
 

tIs  ‘thirst’  tIsay.o  ‘thirsty’


{-l} added to adverb to form the adjective stem which can take gender-number suffixes. Besides some adverbs the numeral /ek/ and some nouns also takes {-1}. All these forms are given in masculine singular. Examples are :
 

ek 

‘one’ 

ek-l-o 

‘alone’

par

‘across’ 

par-l-o 

‘the other side,

 across one’

bIškar 

‘amid’

 bIskar-l-o 

‘central’

la   ‘affection’  la-l-o  ‘affectionate’


{--} is added to the causal verbal stem to form the qualitative adjective stem which can take gender-number suffixes. Examples are given in the masculine singular form :

‘cause to fear, terrify’

 ‘terrific’

{-mnd} added to the oblique form of the abstract noun to form the adjective of /go/ class. Examples are :
 

phaydo 

‘use, benefit’ 

phaydamnd’ 

‘useful’
