(45)   *mohan [ram ko rasgulla pasand hona] janta hai

mohan ram CM rasgulla like be+Nom know+PRES

The reason why the occurrence of the relevant phrase is not possible is that each of these contains an element (AUX) in INFL (hona/padna). Now, nominalized constructions are the ones in which the head is a verb-based noun, but not an INFL-based noun. Thus there are really no phrases of the relevant kind, which is why all the sentences above containing such phrases are ungrammatical. Thus our analysis of the set of sentences (35) - (41) shows that (15) is correct.
