Bhumij has three persons namely First Person,
Second Person and Third Person. The First Person has three numbers namely
singular, dual and plural. The dual has further distinction of inclusive and
exclusive of addressee. The second person has three numbers namely singular,
dual and plural. The Third Person is divided into animate and inanimate with
no gender distinction in the animate. Both the Third Person pronouns have
three numbers, namely singular, dual and plural. The verbs show agreement
with the personal pronouns by repeating the pronoun itself or part of it.
